Today in Maps: The World’s Most Dangerous Roads
For those of you looking for your next vacation destination, I offer up this: A Google Maps of the most dangerous roads in the world. To be fair, the roads on this list are considered dangerous because of their physical characteristics, not the, um, human element–you probably won’t be shot at, but a lack of guard rails means you may plunge off a cliff. Fun! Plus, how could would it be to travel on the North Yungas Death Road?

Actually, my friend has ridden on that very same North Yungas road. (He’s the one I went to visit in Bolivia.) I think his exact description was “scary as balls”.
