Me

I’m currently an editor for Newsweek.com, a truly fab site, and one that’s staffed with some truly fab folks (and I’m not just saying that because they write my checks). Seriously, check that stuff out for all your e-newsmag needs.

In a previous life I was a writer and editor for Time magazine and was one of the founders of its Website, Time.com. You can see some examples of my projects here, here and here.

I occasionally rent myself out as an editor and writer for hire. I await your requests; please remember that anything involving killing requires a three-week turnaround. Though you wouldn’t know it from this website-in-a-box thing, I’m somewhat technically adept.

For the moment, I hang my hat in the increasingly, annoyingly popular Lower East Side of Manhattan. You can reach me there, by email at mark.coatney at gmail.com or at markscoatney on AIM.

I am so smart. Look at me. I was the founder of Time.com. I work for the honorable Newsweek, which has become a joke of a news magazine with only liberal editorials. No one reads Newsweek anymore. Or Time. Stop wasting the glossy paper.
