Hi Mark, I was just wondering if Tumblr has any way of reporting spam messages in the Ask box. (I see an email to report actual posts/URLs but not messages.) If there isn't, I'd love to have it! I definitely have received messages w/ questionable links & would love to report them, though a couple have been anon. Thanks so much!

Good questions! Answers from our Marc LaFountain, our Community Support Director:
- Spam can be reported to support@tumblr.com. Including post permalink or Message screenshots will be a big help to Tumblr in investigating the spam.
- Clicking the block link on an anonymous post in your Messages will permanently block that account, IP, and computer from submitting things to your blog.
- To disable the Ask or Submit features, or to disable anonymous questions and submissions, use the Community menu on the Customize page.
- You cannot prevent someone from showing up as Follower or from viewing a public blog’s web pages or RSS feed. But you can use http://tumblr.com/block so that they can’t see your posts on their Dashboard, you don’t see them listed in post notes or in Dashboard notifications, and you don’t get Messages from them.
- A blogger is not notified that you have blocked them, though they may realize it when they stop seeing updates from you on their Dashboard.
