New York City Council Votes to Extend Term Limits

After a spirited, emotional and at times raucous debate, the
New York City Council voted, 29 to 22, to extend term limits,
allowing Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to seek re-election next
year and undoing the result of two voter referendums that had
imposed a limit of two four-year terms.

I don’t like how a decision made by the actual citizens of New York City was overturned by 51 people.

im so pissed off about this.  its offensive.  i was convinced it couldnt happen in denial.  and i know a lot of people like bloomberg, but think of it this way.  what if this was bush? this is an awful precedent to set.

Well, honestly, I’d love to see Bush running again; I’m not sure he would even have taken Texas, and Obama wouldn’t even have had to campaign.
